Interested in umpiring at AAI?

Please make sure you meet the following requirements:

• At least 14 years old
• Have dependable transportation
• Have a direct email (not a parent)
• Have a cell phone (not a parent)
• Be able to attend an umpire clinic put on by AAI
• Be responsible enough to handle your own schedule
• Have good communication skills with Umpire Directors, Manager, Parents, Players, Coaches, Board Members, and the general public
• Knowledge of the AAI Handbook, as well as the USSSA and MLB Rulebook
• Be able to pass a background check

Umpire Gear

You are responsible for providing the following:

• Umpire uniform
• Plate brushes
• Indicators (clickers)

AAI will provide the following:

• Face masks
• Chest protectors
• Shin guards
• Ball pouches
• Game Balls
