League Information

The AAI MISSION

The Mission of Aledo Athletics, Inc. is to provide organized baseball and softball for all children in the community who want the chance, giving each the opportunity to learn the game, develop character and confidence, and understand teamwork and sportsmanship.

NEW SITE EXPERIENCE!

All registrations and dissemination of information will run through our new platform, SportsEngine. The new platform is mobile-friendly and connect seamlessly to a free mobile app, which contains player information, team schedules, and team communication. The platform also allows us to push important information about rainouts, delays, and important events to you in the most efficient way.

To stay up to date, register for our leagues, and access schedules, please create an account by clicking the "Log In" link at the top of the page.

League Structure

We offer multiple leagues within the umbrella of Aledo Athletics.

  • 5U - 14U Boys Baseball, in association with USSSA
  • 6U-14U Girls Softball, in association with PONY
  • 4U CoEd TeeBall league, which is a modified TeeBall league based on house rules.

All leagues play in both Spring and Fall. We also create All-Star teams after the Spring season, which are consistently very competitive (Check out our Trophy Room!)

More information on our leagues can be found at the link below.

League Age

Each division has an upper and a lower age, based on what we call "League Age". The cutoff dates differ between baseball and softball.

League age may be different than the player's actual age at the time of registration, or even the date on which a season's games start.  Please answer the league age questions accurately in registration process as we use those numbers to sort players for tryouts and drafts.

Current age cutoff dates are: December 31, 2023 for girls softball and May 01, 2024 for boys baseball.

See more details and examples at the link below.

SPRING TRYOUTS

AAI only holds tryouts prior to each spring season, with the purpose of each coach having the chance to evaluate each player prior to the draft. The draft ensures that teams are as evenly matched as possible, which creates the best playing experience for everyone.

OUR FACILITY

Our current facility on Bankhead Highway was purchased in 1976 and only had one field (currently Field 3). It served as the Aledo HS Varsity Baseball Field for many years.

Since then, we have grown to 7 fields on the property, including a full turf field (Field 5). The facility also includes recently updated restrooms, concessions, and multiple batting cages and warmup areas for our teams.

EQUIPMENT

AAI provides each player with a jersey and adjustable cap for the season. Each player will provide their own glove, batting helmet, cleats, baseball bat, and protective gear.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for Aledo Athletics, Inc. is a group of community-driven volunteers dedicated to creating the best possible environments for young men and women in our community.

AAI Concussion Protocol

Concussions are brain injuries, and the effects can be very serious. Click the link below for symptoms to watch for and other helpful links.

Umpires

Being an umpire is a great way to give back to the community, learn more about the game, and make some money while doing it!

We value the men and women who umpire for our league - that's why we offer umpire training, competitive pay rates, and even bonuses for umpires who serve for multiple years.

Boundaries

Our eligibility boundaries are (1) Aledo ISD, and/or (2) Parker County. If you do not fall into one of these categories, Board approval may be required for your eligibility.
